Mike & Amanda Ball

Send a Note Start a Campaign

The Ball Family’s story began in 1999 when Mike and Amanda were married, both confident of God’s call to missions.  During the first 10 years of their marriage, Mike worked as a civil engineer, they had four children (Nathan, Abbie, Lauren, and Julia; Tirzah came later in Fiji), moved to Kansas City where Mike studied at Calvary Theological Seminary, joined Biblical Ministries Worldwide (where the Lord burdened their hearts for the Indians of Fiji), and then returned to Mississippi to prepare to leave for Labasa, Fiji, in 2009.  Since then, Mike and Amanda have sought to plant churches among the Fijian Indians (most of whom are Hindu or Muslim) by making disciples and training leaders.  In 2015, by God’s grace the Ball Family along with a few Indian families began meeting together on Sundays and eventually formed Vunivau Bible Church.  In the years since, the Lord has raised up local Indian leaders who shepherd the flock and lead the church in ministering to the lost.  Together, along with others in the church, the Balls have led home Bible studies, children’s Bible clubs and youth ministry.  In 2023, the Lord opened the door for Vunivau Bible Church to send out a team to plant Grace Bible Church, an English-speaking church, committed to intentional relationships and reaching a variety of ethnicities with the gospel.  The church is growing and leaders are being identified and developed.  The Balls consider it a great privilege to serve the Lord in Fiji and look forward to what He will continue to do in the hearts of people and through His church.
