Joaquin Peña

Joaquin was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In October of 1993, he was saved, by God’s grace, at the age of thirteen. The Lord called Joaquin to full time ministry by using the passage found in Romans 12:1-12. He graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College and Northland International University with a Youth Ministries Major and a Master of Ministry. He also has a Master of Biblical Ministry from The Master’s Seminary. 
In 2007, he married Megan Herron, the love of his life. Joaquin and Megan have five beautiful children:  Brooka-Fe, Ahava-Hope, Jordan-Joaquin, Mason-Rafael, and Shyla-Kay. 

The Lord has allowed them to be part of various ministries here in the United States, and around the world. They have served on Guam at Harvest Ministries, and while there, he was ordained to the Gospel ministry. They also have lived for two years in Santo Domingo, DR, working in Joaquin’s home church and school. 
In 2017, he became the Outreach Pastor at Brookside Baptist Church in Wisconsin, leading the Hispanic and Singles ministries. In April of 2022, they planted Gospel Hope Español in Atlanta, GA. 

Currently, he is the Dean of students at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. He is also connected to Rio Grande Bible Ministries in Texas, and with churches in the Dominican Republic for summer ministries. 

They enjoy outdoor activities, playing with their kids and spending time with family and friends.
