WAASAYAA NORTH BIBLE CAMP READY FOR 2026!

Rick and Jammie Lynn Mikesh and their 6 children serve the Lord among Canada's First Nations Aboriginal children, youth, and families in the remote Greenstone region of NW Ontario. They planted Community Baptist Church in 2012 and began Waasayaa North Ministries in 2016. The primary focus of Waasayaa North Bible Camp is to bring the clear gospel message to children and youth from Greenstone's six First Nations communities and others from remote, fly-in communities as well. This growing summer camp ministry has outgrown the current facility in use.

In late 2022, God opened a clear door of opportunity for Community Baptist Church to purchase 300 acres of undeveloped pristine forest bordering two lakes. The location is truly IDEAL for the development of Waasayaa North Bible Camp! Community Baptist Church purchased the property in February 2023 and with the remarkable blessing of countless volunteers, much work has been completed in the last 2 summers! By the end of 2024, the Lodge, 6 cabins, garage (generator building) and Director's unit were finished.  Summer of 2025 brought us to completing the bathroom building, staff cabin, installation of the septic system and our final electrical and water inspections for occupancy in 2026!  We will be installing a camera/surveillance system in the spring, 2026. God is GOOD!
