Through His faithfulness and truly miraculous circumstances, God has brought an amazing and unique opportunity to Community Baptist Church of Beardmore, Ontario. For 11 years, Rick and Jammie Lynn Mikesh and their 6 children have served the Lord among Canada's First Nations Aboriginal children, youth, and families in the remote Greenstone region of NW Ontario. They planted Community Baptist Church in 2012 and began Waasayaa North Bible Camp in 2019. The Bible camp's primary focus is bringing the clear gospel message to children and youth from Greenstone's six First Nations communities and others from remote, fly-in communities as well. This growing summer camp ministry has outgrown the current facility in use.

Earlier this year, God opened a clear door of opportunity for Community Baptist Church to purchase 205 acres of undeveloped pristine forest bordering two lakes. The location is truly IDEAL for the development of Waasayaa North Bible Camp! The Mikeshes and their team of supporters have prayed for over 3 months, and God has answered!

On Monday, November 7, a purchase agreement was signed with one contingency -- that we would trust God to raise the needed $216,000 (USD) to purchase the property. The deadline to raise the funds was December 30 with the closing date slated for January 6, 2023. The need was made known to supporters through email and video the next day on Tuesday, November 8.

In less than 2 weeks, God saw fit to provide "exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think" (Eph 3:20), and supporters have given nearly $280,000 USD to date! This fulfills Phase 1 (acquiring the property).

Through your faithful giving, God has brought us strongly into the next phase of the project (site preparation and the building of the lodge). We are trusting the Lord with the need to raise $430,000 for Phase 2. We have a big task ahead of us, and we are asking you to join us in prayer and in financial partnership as the Lord may so lead!
