Bob & Karon are focused on evangelism and discipleship. On a tropical island, helping people with tree trimming or removal has been greatly received. When people find out that you are there to help, it opens a door to service, friendship and sharing Jesus. Inviting unbelievers to help with tree trimming also builds bridges for Christ. Doing a fondue with friends and unbelievers, and then doing a round-the-table discussion of the gospel of John opens eyes to Christ. Church fellowship suppers and classical music concerts. These are just some of the ways we’ve been seeking to reach our world for Christ. With tears in her eyes, Denisse finally understood the gospel this morning. May she come to Christ soon!
For the last five years, Bob has been working on in-depth theology studies, for training leadership. The Bible verses are included in the study, along with questions and answers that draw the student into the discussion. You can find them for free on www.MentorMaterial.com These will be available in both Spanish and English, plus other languages in the future. (As of Jan. 2025, the eschatology study is complete in English, while the others listed on the site are being improved.) These studies have been very well received and very helpful. In 2025, Bob plans to start making a video series on YouTube, which will help a student understand the verses and teachings found in these studies.

Karon grew up in Spain, where her parents served for 40 years with BMW. She has her masters in Theology and is the theological advisor on the translation of the NT into Puerto Rican sign language. She is also correcting the Spanish translation for the Bible Institute studies for Source of Light Ministries. She leads the ladies’ Bible study, often opens her home for hospitality, she’s trained numerous piano and guitar students, inside and outside of their church, she organizes the music in their church and is given to prayer.
Bob and Karon have three adult children. Elyssa serves with BMW in Texas and has won and discipled many children for Christ. Daniel is an anesthesiologist; he is married and has three children and attends Family Bible Church in Martinez, GA. Jonathan has his Masters in Harp Performance and is ranked #2 in Puerto Rico. He currently serves as a missionary in Barcelona.
Luis serves as associate pastor, along with his wife Angie. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is a dynamic teacher and evangelist. They meet twice a week with Bob and Karon for training, prayer and fellowship. You’ll also find several other young pastors and their families, meeting for fellowship, sharpening and prayer, on a bi-monthly basis.
1998 was a difficult year, as their family was poisoned with lead and mercury, while serving in the south of Spain. This brought great PAIN and conflict to their entire family and has taken all of these years to diagnose and seek a cure. If you see anything good in their lives, you know that it’s Jesus.
